Service Description

In these sessions, we will learn, play and explore the ancient practices of Mantra, Mudra and Meditation. These are powerful tools for connecting with the body, mind, and spirit. They are useful for grounding, releasing tightness and tension, promoting relaxation and feelings of love and appreciation from within and outside as well. • Mantra is a sacred sound or word that is repeated. The repetitive nature of mantra chanting can help to calm the mind and bring about a state of deep relaxation. • Mudra is a symbolic gesture of the hands, body and fingers. Mudras are said to have a variety of effects on the body, mind, and emotions. • Meditation is the deliberate focusing of attention to bring about feelings of calm and heightened energy and awareness. In these 33-minute weekly sessions, we will learn about the physiological and energetic benefits of mantras, mudras and meditation. We will practice chanting mantras, performing mudras and experiencing meditation. By the end of each class, you will have a deeper understanding of these powerful practices and how they can be used in your day-to-day life to improve your overall well-being. What you will need: • A comfortable place to sit on the floor or in a chair. • A mat or blanket • A notebook and pen • Earbud or headphones - not required and very useful! Prerequisites: • No prior experience with mantra, mudra or mediation is necessary. Schedule: • Class will meet for 33 minutes. • Class will be held once per week. Note: Class Membership available at checkout or under the "Pricing" tab. Membership includes access to all classes monthly plus the BONUS of class replay viewing options. Replays are a membership only benefit. What you will learn: • The physical and energetic benefits of mantra, mudra and mediation • How to chant mantra along with the specific benefits associated with each mantra • How to perform mudras and the benefits associated with each one • How & when to perform meditations and the benefits associated with each one
